CSEAS Family Workshop. Make-Your-Own Shadow Puppet

The Center for Southeast Asian Studies and UMMA invite you and your family to learn about the Javanese tradition of wayang, or shadow puppetry. Detroit puppeteer, Carrie Morris, will lead the workshop. Children ages 5-12 will be led in making their own wayang. Attendees are encouraged to continue their journey through the Javanese arts by attending the Javanese gamelan and dance performance at Stamps Auditorium following this workshop at 4PM. This event is free and open to the public. Materials provided. RSVP required.
