Congratulations! Josephine Schmidt's paper, The Grandmother Hypothesis, written for Anthrbio 368 and nominated by their instructor, Stacy Rosenbaum, has been selected as one of two winners of the Excellence in Upper-Level Writing Prize in Natural Science from the Sweetland Center for Writing. This paper was chosen by a panel of judges who considered it among a number of other nominated papers and recognized it as exceptional.
Along with the honor of this award, Schmidt's paper will be included in an electronically published Sweetland/English Department Writing Program collaborative volume of excellent first-year student writing.
