Jessaca Leinaweaver, a 2005 Ph.D.  Cultural Anthropology alum, has recently published two new articles on aging and adoption in South America. Professor Leinaweaver, who is now the department of anthropology chair at Brown University, says that the articles centralize on anthropological demography, an orientation Brown is particularly known for.

Jessaca received her masters and Ph.D. from the University of Michigan and now studies anthropological demography; children, fostering, and families in urban Andean Peru; and transnational adoption and migration from Peru to Spain.
