Congratulations are in order to Irisa Arney, a 2019 PhD alumna, on her recent academic accolade. Arney was awared the Cobb Grant by the American Association of Biological Anthropologists. The American Association of Biological Anthropologists recognizes the work of talented scientists early in their career as they begin their research to accelerate the study of biological sciences. Arney was one of five recipients and was awarded for her work on Middle Miocene environments from herbivore stable isotopes and assessing C4 biomass seasonal variability.
