The Latina/o Studies Program will be having an outreach event for graduate students interested in the Latina/o Studies Graduate Certificate. Lunch will be served.

The Latina/o Studies Program offers a 12-credit hour Graduate Certificate focusing on the study of Latina/o experience within the U.S. and in a transnational perspective. The goal of the Certificate in Latina/o Studies is to provide a structured program of study for graduate students in programs such as American Culture, Anthropology, Comparative Literature, English, History, Linguistics, Political Science, Psychology, Screen Arts and Cultures, Sociology, Spanish, and Women's Studies and in the Professional Schools (Business, Education, Law, Medicine, Natural Resources and the Environment, Nursing, Public Health, Public Policy, Social Work, etc.) with in-depth interdisciplinary understanding of the field. The Certificate Program is particularly useful to graduate students whose academic and career trajectories require area-focused knowledge and training. Application deadline is March 15.
