The LAST DAY to Late Drop a class or change a course to Pass/Fail in Wolverine Access is WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 6 at 11:59PM.
A cross campus transfer student is a student who was admitted as a student into another academic unit on the University of Michigan’s Ann Arbor campus and wishes to pursue studies in the College of Literature, Science and the Arts.
Students must complete the following steps:
1. Access the Cross Campus Transfer Tutorial (must click the blue "enroll in course" button at the top right corner of the screen).
2. Complete all of the items within the tutorial (this will take approximately 25 minutes).
3. Once you complete the tutorial, make an appointment with a Newnan advisor. Please note: It may take up to five business days to verify that you completed the tutorial before we can schedule the appointment.
4. If you decide to transfer, the advisor will create the application for cross-campus transfer for you to complete. Once the application is approved, you will receive email confirmation of your acceptance into LSA from the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
5. After receiving confirmation, you must disenroll at the Office of the Registrar or student services office of the school from which you are transferring, and also request a re-registration of your courses into LSA. Please refer to your letter of admission and follow the directions provided. The re-registration of courses must be done no later than 3 weeks after the first day of classes of the admitted full term or 2 weeks of a half term.
1. First-year students are eligible to make a cross campus transfer after they have completed two full terms in their original UM school or college. The application may be submitted during the second term of enrollment.
2. Students who entered UM as external transfer students may make a cross campus transfer after at least one full term in their original UM school or college.
3. The GPA of the last term before transfer and the cumulative GPA must both be above 2.0.
4. Cross-campus transfer students may receive credit for a maximum of 90 credits from the previous college or school. LSA residency requires that a student earn 30 credits while enrolled in LSA.
5. In order to graduate from LSA, students must complete 100 LSA credits. In other words, only 20 credits of coursework from non-LSA departments can count toward your LSA degree. The 100 LSA credits do not have to be completed while enrolled in LSA (e.g. if you complete a Physics course while enrolled in the College of Engineering, that course would count as LSA credit since Physics is an LSA department).
