Center for Global and Intercultural Study (CGIS) provides students from diverse academic backgrounds with a wide variety of global engagement and learning opportunities around the world. CGIS currently offers more than 90 programs in 40 different countries that span the globe. CGIS programming features semester-long study abroad options, 3-10 week long programs during the spring and summer, and academic- and calendar-year programs.
International Student English Language Resources for international students, scholars, and family members are available - on and off campus - for assistance writing papers, tips on listening comprehension and note-taking, translation services, and lessons in English as a Second Language (ESL).
Physics Help Room and Tutoring is located in 1416 Randall and provides help to students taking the introductory physics classes. Check out their website to their schedule and the other tutoring help that is available.
Science Learning Center (SLC) - Located off of the atrium in the Chemistry Building, the SLC offers resources such as study groups to student taking science classes. Their satellite location in 2165 Undergraduate Science Building (USB) houses a study lounge, team rooms, and computers.
Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD) provides services for note taking, document delivery services, testing accomodations, and guides on how to approach University faculty and staff regarding student disability paperwork. You can stop by their office in G-664 Haven Hall, call them at (734) 763-3000, or go to their website to register with them online.
Sweetland Center for Writing - Offers a wide range of resources to help students with their writing. Note, their resources and there to support you in any class, not just your writing classes.
University Libraries provide manyservices for services including one-on-one appointments with a librarian to help you with your research, understanding what is needed for a writing assignment for a class, study spaces, free non-credit workshops about using technology, such as Excel, as well as offering access to books, journals, and databases.
