Welcome to LSA Pre-Health Academic Advising

Pre-health advising is a resource for students and alumni who are exploring, preparing, and applying to health professional programs.

First- and second-year LSA students:

You are encouraged to meet with any of our general academic advisors to discuss your interest in health professions and reflect on your "why." They will help you narrow your ideas, develop a plan for continued exploration, ensure you are making progress on required coursework, and help you figure out the next best step on your path. Please be sure to review our page devoted to exploring Careers in Health before your first meeting.

Juniors, seniors, and alumni preparing for application:

We encourage you to meet with a pre-health advisor. However please be aware that appointments fill quickly, and the answers to some of your questions are likely available in our online pre-health content. If you still have questions after you've reviewed this material, please contact to make an appointment.  If we don't have available appointments within the next three weeks of your call or email, we will take your contact information and provide you with additional online resources that may address your questions in the interim.

If you are not an LSA student or alum, please contact your school or college to determine if there is a dedicated pre-health advisor available to help you; if not, we suggest you contact the University Career Center for additional resources.

Pre-health Office Hours:

Pre-health office hours are suspended for Fall 2021.
