About
What is your advising philosophy? I'm a big believer in continuity-based advising models; I endeavor to advise every student the way I wanted my daughters to be advised and to make the tenth student of the day feel like they are my first student of the day.
What was your path to Newnan? After some advising experiences elsewhere, I came to Newnan because the advising model espoused here best enables the continuity and consistency that I believe are necessary for effective advising.
What do you enjoy about working in Newnan? The students—they are our raison d'être! Aligning students' interests, life experiences, academics, and experiential learning opportunities with their short term career goals are what makes my job interesting and from what I derive job satisfaction.
Class you loved and why? As an undergrad, the powerful readings from an English department First Year Seminar on WWI Literature still resonate with me today after 37 years. A seminar on Organizational Culture was by far my favorite course in graduate school.
Interests and hobbies: Reading, ice hockey, and binge-watching Netflix.
