Welcome, new Wolverines! Congratulations on joining the University of Michigan family. After replying to your UM Acceptance Letter, the next step is to Register for Orientation. You can also review our orientation overview to learn more about the experience. 

How to Register?

Step 1: Register for Orientation

•  If you haven’t, or if you’re not sure if you’ve registered for an Orientation session, please contact ONSP.

Step 2: Before Orientation

• You will receive emails from ONSP prior to your Advising Appointment Date with detailed information and a link to MyAdvising. Please complete all required tasks, including the online placement exams.

Step 3:  Pre-Planning Schedule

• You’ll begin scheduling your classes during the Advising Appointment.
• You do not need to come to the session with a planned course schedule but having courses in mind is helpful. We encourage you to look over the online LSA Course Guide before coming to Orientation, but please don’t feel pressured to have the perfect schedule before your Advising Appointment Date.
