The LAST DAY to Late Drop a class or change a course to Pass/Fail in Wolverine Access is TUESDAY, APRIL 23 at 11:59PM
All students are required to complete one “QR/1” course or two “QR/2” courses to satisfy the QR requirement. If you have taken a course that you think meets the spirit of the QR requirement, but it’s not on the approved QR list, you can petition the Academic Standards Board to be allowed to count that course toward the requirement. The Board will consider courses that were taken in LSA, in another college or school at U-M, or at another institution.
The “Reasoning” part of the course is critical. It should be a course in which you learned how to use quantitative data to analyze and solve problems, make predictions, and draw conclusions. The course should also include numerical or geometrical representations of real world phenomena. Courses that focus more on mathematical manipulation and computation will not be approved.
Petitions and supporting documentation can be submitted by clicking this link and following the instructions.
