Congratulations to Loveleen Brar, who received the 2023 Graduate Student Essay Prize from the Ethnography Caucus of the American Studies Association for her paper titled “Roaming Communities: Race, Labor, and Care in the Punjabi American Trucking Industry." 

The American Studies Association—the oldest and largest scholarly association devoted to the interdisciplinary study of U.S. cultures and histories—proudly recognized the distinguished scholarly achievement represented by the recipient. This award provides a snapshot of the vital scholarly work that ASA members are carrying on in the United States and transnationally.
