A lecture by visiting scholar Dr. Pekka Kilpeläinen. Dr. Kilpeläinen is a Postdoctoral researcher at the University of Eastern Finland. His new research examines the ways in which the cultural trauma of the memory of slavery is represented and negotiated in contemporary African American literature.
