Check out what WISE RP students are up to this summer!

Tarini Arte

I had an amazing experience visiting Singapore and then Japan, where we lived around Yokohama. The best part was going to the 5th base of Mt. Fuji. I will also be starting an internship project at DuPont India which is a chemical company, and hope to learn something new and cool.

Emma Fink

I am interning at Quicken Loans with the Technology Department in Detroit.

Elyse Fleck

This summer I will be taking a class spring term and doing research all summer long through the materials science department with Dr. Geeta Mehta.

Sabine Hutter

I will be studying abroad in Padua, Italy through the college of business at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. At the University of Padua (which is where Galileo taught!),  I will be taking Marketing 352. When I return to the United States I will continue working and researching  at the Pletcher Lab in Ann Arbor. The focus of my work will be studying life span in Drosophila.

Sydni Jourban

This summer I am traveling to Missoula Montana to volunteer for the Children’s Ontology Foundation at Camp Mak-A-Dream. I will be a camp counselor at their Teen Heads Up Camp from July 6th through July 12th. At camp I will lead and participate in all of the activities with a group of 10 to 15 teens ages 13 to 18 who have all had or are currently living with a form of brain cancer. Camp Mak-A-Dream provides these kids with a week of activities they might not be able to participate in anywhere else, such as rock climbing and zip-lining, along with time for everyone to get to know each other and share their life experiences dealing with cancer.

Ana Reyes

I just finished my first week in Albuquerque! I absolutely love the internship and I could definitely see myself coming back and working for Sandia in the future!

Susan Rusinowski

I'll be doing research at a school called Faculdades Integradas de Aracruz. I found it through IAESTE.

Madison Strauss

I'll be doing research this summer at UofM with Professor Thouless in the mechanical engineering department. The project is for the Eaton Corporation and deals with the fracture mechanics of adhesives.

Amy Tseng

This summer I am working as a staff member at Camp Michigania which is a family camp for Michigan alumni run through the Michigan Alumni Association. Not only will it be a fun time, but it is also a great way to network with the alumni for future jobs and internships.

Gabrielle Vuylsteke

I'm working at DTE Energy as a Summer Student in their Predictive Maintenance and Field Support group.
