Molly Bancroft is Sweetland's Undergraduate Program Coordinator, primarily responsible for coordinating the Peer Tutoring services/programs campus-wide, managing the ULWR and FYWR programs, as well as the Minor in Writing and Sweetland's academic course offerings.
Molly recieved a B.S. in Political Science from Univ. of Oregon and an M.A. in Media Studies from Univ. of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where she also taught undergraduate Media Writing courses. She comes from a strong background in higher education/student services, having previously worked at Emory Univ., MIT Media Lab, UNC-Chapel Hill and Berklee College of Music, as well as various non-profits, publishing and music organizations.
Prior to coming to Michigan, Molly enjoyed an interesting and successful career as leader of an indie rock band (Lift) followed by a lengthy solo career. She has dozens of releases, mostly available on iTunes and Beatport. Molly's current "side gig" is still music: producing other artists, collaborating with international DJs as writer and vocalist, composing songs for tv-film, performing, and occasionally blogging about music biz topics.
Molly looks forward to assisting students and faculty in utilizing all the wonderful services that Sweetland provides the UMich community.
