Memorial Day Weekend at the U-M Museum of Natural History

The U-M Museum of Natural History will be closed on Monday, May 29, 2017 for Memorial Day.  Weekend hours will remain the same.

  • Saturday, May 27, 2017, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
  • Sunday, May 28, 2017, 12:00–5:00 p.m.

Prepare for Your Summer Visit

The Museum of Natural History is currently located in the 90-year-old Ruthven Museums Building which is not fully air-conditioned. Visitors should dress accordingly.  

All air-conditioned areas of the Museum are on the 4th floor.

  • Bristle Mammoth Exhibit
  • Museum on the Move Exhibit

The Museum will close in this location on December 31, 2017, and will re-open next door in the beautiful and climate-controlled Biological Science Building in 2019. Read about the move here.
