We are very pleased to share that Professor Rob Beck is among four Michigan faculty to receive the 2017 Henry Russel Award, one of the highest honors the university bestows upon junior faculty.

Professor Beck joined the department and Museum of Anthropological Archaeology in 2010, and is recognized for his focus on the transition of eastern woodland Native American societies before and after the arrival of Europeans. He has previously received the 2006 C.B. Moore Award for Excellence in Southeastern Archaeology, "...given to the most promising young archaeologist working in the U.S. southeast."

Congratulations, Professor Beck!
