About Joan
Kee:
Scholarly interests include histories of painting, theories of globalization and contemporaneity, the impact of colonization, and issues of race and ethnicity. Currently she is working on a book that traces the virtual formation of a discrete contemporary Korean art field through the emergence of a body of work known as “Korean monochrome painting.” She is also working on an anthology of writings on the topic of context in contemporary Southeast Asian art.
