Annual Events

The Exhibit Museum offers the following annual events:

  • I.D. Day:  Information tables with hands-on specimens and artifacts are staffed by experts from the U-M Paleontology, Anthropology, and Zoology research museums and the surrounding community who answer questions and identify objects for the public.
  • Halloween Party:  Typically the Sunday afternoon before Halloween, children of all ages come in costume and trick or treat around Museum stations that offer fun, educational activities.
  • Dinosaur Discovery Day:  The first Saturday in December, Dinosaur Discovery Day features a variety of hands-on stations and may include talks by experts (professors, scientists, and curators), and live animal demonstrations.
  • Theme Discovery Day:  Every March, the Museum hosts a Discovery Day as part of the collaboration with Washtenaw, Livingston, and Wayne County libraries for the Winter Family Reading and Science program.  Activities may include hands-on stations, talks by experts (professors, scientists, and curators), and live animal demonstrations.
