Many faculty and students were recognized with awards at the Annual Meetings of the American Sociological Association that took place in San Francisco August 16-19, 2014.

All of these national awards and honorable mentions demonstrate excellent scholarship and the breadth of sociological inquiry that takes place at the University of Michigan.  The highlight of the weekend was that the national co-winners for the best dissertation written in the country last year both were Michigan students.

Congratulations everyone and GO BLUE!
