Building a Green Economy: Indigenous Strategies for a Sustainable Future

This year's Native Heritage Month theme is Indigenous Peoples and Environmental Justice and NASA and NCID are very excited to bring Winona LaDuke to campus this year. Winona will speak in a formal lecture on Building a Green Economy: Indigenous Strategies for a Sustainable Future.

The event will be November 11th in Rackham Amphitheater followed by a reception in the Michigan League. There will also be an informal catered luncheon with Ms. LaDuke open for students, staff, and faculty to meet with her. We are interested in the the possibility of the Department of American Culture co-sponsoring the event (no financial commitment needed).
