Your Gift Makes a Difference!
Matthaei Botanical Gardens and Nichols Arboretum (Matthaei-Nichols) relies on the generosity and involvement of donors for all that we do. Gifts of land from generous donors launched our two major sites. First the Nichols family helped to establish today’s arboretum in 1906 and then the Matthaei family provided farmland for Matthaei Botanical Gardens fifty years later. The Conservatory, the Reader Center, the Peony and Gateway Gardens, Heathdale and the Herb Knot Garden, riverfront and trail improvements as well as education programs and scholarships all have been made possible through gifts. And because Matthaei-Nichols is part of the University of Michigan and U-M covers basic operating expenses, your donation goes directly to the things you love most.

Please note for 2016: The IRS has ruled that gifts made via credit card are deductible only in the year the bank processes the transaction. To be processed by year-end, credit-card gifts must reach U-M by Dec. 16.
