Scheduled maintenance and production freezes
Four weekends each year are set aside for server maintenance. These times are arranged in advance with LSA Dean's Office and are the only times available to us for routine maintenance. During these times, any or all LSAIT provided services may become unavailable, and persons relying on them should make appropriate arrangements. Key administrators and IT staff will be notified in advance of pending maintenance weekends.
During critical times of the academic year, such as examinations and the beginning of terms, LSAIT enters a production freeze. During the production freezes systems cannot be changed or modified except for emergencies. If the potential impact of a change would be limited to a single department, such changes may be done with the department's approval.
