RSG-Research Systems Group (Apple Macintosh, Linux, and Cluster Computing)
Welcome! The Research Systems Group supports researchers and faculty in the College of LSA by providing a High Performance Compute (HPC) cluster, and by providing Linux and OSX operating system load sets and application packages. We also support the servers providing Domain Name Service (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), the LSA FlexLM license server, the Redhat Network Satellite server, and various specialty web servers.
Department staff and faculty interested in research computing are invited to attend our Research Computing Administrators meetings held the third Wednesday of each month, where we discuss support and development concerns. The e-mail group associated with research computing in the College is lsa-unix-admins@umich.edu. IT staff, interested faculty, and researchers can join this group by emailing the RSG at lsa-rsg@umich.edu.
- Karen Pachla is the Manager of the RSG group, and can be reached at: kpachla@umich.edu
