You can get remote assistance from LSA IT several ways. We can help you remotely over the Internet in the event that it is impractical to bring your computer on campus. Often this will be done over the phone but, it is also possible for us to remotely control your machine anywhere you can connect to the Internet. The Bomgar Support Portal is a product that works with most computers (Linux, Mac OS, or Windows) and can even help us support Android and iOS devices like iPads.
How does it work? Your support representative will ask you to download and run the Bomgar client software (if you haven't already) and once it's running they can, with your approval, see the contents of your screen on their computer.
Windows Remote Assistance allows you to share your session on your Windows XP SP3, Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8 machine.
Apple Screen Sharing
Apple Screen Sharing allows you to share your screen with someone remotely. You need MacOS X 10.5 or newer for this to work.
