Energy Futures:
Society, Innovation & Technology (2008)
The Energy theme semester will feature student writing contests, prizes for energy conservation ideas, a new course on the human and social behavioral side of energy use and demand, and visiting speakers on energy innovations and history.

Winter 2009 Theme Semester
The Universe: Yours to Discover (W2009)
The International Year of Astronomy 2009 marks the four hundredth anniversary of the first astronomical observation through a telescope by Galileo Galilei. It will be a global celebration of astronomy and its contributions to society and culture, with a strong emphasis on education, public engagement and involvement. Our theme semester on "The Universe: Yours to Discover" will bring this celebration to campus with a Michigan perspective.
