Residential College Professor Heather Ann Thompson Featured on the Daily Show

Thompson, who is also a professor of Afroamerican and African Studies, spoke about her new book Blood in the Water about the Attica prison uprising of 1971.

Thompson discussed her book, which details a coverup by law enforcement of their actions during and after the riot.

"Getting our history wrong really had huge consequences for us as a country," Thompson told host Trevor Noah.
