Language Teaching

At the LRC, we provide training and classroom support to language and literature faculty, staff, and students, e.g. on instructional design, language teaching, integrating technologies in the classroom, or support with applications for LSA/LRC grants. This includes group and individual workshops, one on one faculty consultation, seminars and classroom support.

  • Class support (e.g. support with equipment during class, instructional design, implementing technology)
  • Equipment for for language classes
  • Grant proposals and seminars
  • Instructional technology integration & using technology for language learning and teaching
  • International TV recordings
  • Language placement tests
  • Language Teaching Forum events series
  • Media production, recordings, transfer, and digitization
  • Media reserve in the Main Center
  • “Nomads of the LRC” - LRC staff members hold drop-in hours throughout the semester in different campus locations
  • Room reservations for rooms at the LRC (alcoves, conference room, computer classrooms, and VVR)
  • Transfer of media to CTools and to online streaming
  • Video screening
  • Web & videoconferencing (pedagogical and technological support)
