In line with past programming for the University of Michigan’s Latin@ Heritage Month festivities, Michigan Latin@ Assembly (MLA) will be hosting the Latin@ Gala - the culminating event of this heritage month. The Latin@ Gala this year operates under a theme of “Nuestras Voces, Nuestra Familia” (“Our Voices, Our Family”). Bringing together students, faculty, and other members of the campus environment, the Gala works to unite the myriad Latin@ and non-Latin@ community members on campus to not only emphasize their collaborative, cooperative spirit at the end of Latin@ Heritage Month, but moreover to continue interrogating and remembering the differences within these communities throughout the remainder of the year.
