Follow Up

How many times have you heard someone say the University of Michigan is so diverse? How many times have you wondered “if only they knew…”

Did you know that there has been a 36% decline of minority students (African American, Latino/a, Asian, and Native American) in the school of LS&A from 2005 to 2010- the years immediately following the repeal of Affirmative Action in Michigan?

Did you know that the University of Michigan is less diverse than one of the most elite institutions, Harvard University?

Often students of color are misrepresented, marginalized and their experiences are grouped together. Even if, the enrollment of students of color at Michigan are rapidly dwindling, we are still here. We are part of this institution and we want to be recognized. Aren't you tired of waiting for others to address these issues?

This event is a follow up to the Diag Freeze Out that was held on October 9, 2013.

Sponsored by DAAS, We Are Michigan, Black Student Union and SCOR.

Students. Faculty. Staff. Working Together.
All are welcome.
