Latino Community Forum

Monday, April 9, 2012
12:00 AM
Assembly Hall of the Rackham Graduate Building

The entire University of Michigan Latina/o community is invited to our Latino Community Forum. Dinner will be served at 5:30pm; please RSVP to latinosummit@umich.edu by Wednesday, April 4. The objective of the Latino Community Forum is to provide a space for honoring the accomplishments and recognizing the concerns of students, organizations, and members of the community at-large. This academic year, we have addressed issues surrounding the Latino community including: identity, unification, academic achievement, leadership and infrastructure. We invite you to join us in envisioning and developing recommendations to present to university administrators in order to take action on resolving these concerns. The Latino Summit Committee is a group of undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Michigan dedicated to the progression of the Latino community. We emphasize the continuous nurturing and advancement of the Latino community and our allies through the pursuit of leadership, knowledge, and success. 5:30pm - 8:00pm, Assembly Hall of the Rackham Graduate Building.
