The Kelsey Museum is excited to announce the 2017 Jackier Prize winners. This year we have five winning essays out of 42 entries. This year’s winners are Anna Billiard, Joshua Burg, Ryan LaRose, Logan Light, and Amanda Talaski. Please visit the Jackier Prize page to learn more about them. This contest is made possible by the generosity of Eleanor and Lawrence Jackier (class of ’64).

As Jackier Prize winners, these students worked with Kelsey Museum staff to put together an exhibition of their selected objects. This display is now on view at the Kelsey Museum through August 2017. Anna, Joshua, Ryan, Logan, and Amanda were honored on April 25th with an awards ceremony and met Eleanor and Lawrence Jackier.

The Jackier Prize is an undergraduate essay contest open to students from across the University. Interested students are invited to select two objects from the Jackier Collection and the Kelsey Museum Collections. As part of this process, they have the opportunity to visit the Museum to study the artifacts which will then be featured in a written comparative analysis.
