The Institute for the Humanities has a long history at the University of Michigan (more than 25 years) as a place where students, faculty, and community members can learn about and discuss issues of relevance to all of us. Starting in Winter 2017, the Institute will reconvene an Undergraduate Advisory Group that will collectively suggest speakers and courses for the Institute to sponsor, and will help to promote events of interest to communities and friends affiliated with our campus.

The Advisory Group will meet regularly throughout the winter semester at the Institute, while also periodically gathering opinions and thoughts from student peers.

If you would like to apply to serve on the Institute for the Humanities Undergraduate Advisory Group in Winter 2017*, please send a short one-page letter of interest to Kush Patel, Assistant Director of Academic Programming, at kshpatel@umich.edu by Friday, January 13, 2017.

*We invite applications from students who can serve on the board for this semester as well as those who may wish to continue into the following academic year 2017-18.
