Christopher Davis, James A. Winn Graduate Student Fellow for 2009-10 at the Instiute for the Humanities, is one of 54 candidates nationwide to be awarded a 2012 New Faculty Fellowship in the humanities by the American Council of Learned Societies .  Specializing in classics, medieval studies, Latin, and Old French, he received his Phd in comparative literature in 2011 with a dissertation titled: "Scribes and Singers: Latin Models of Authority and the Compilation of Troubadour Songbooks."
