Below are the general terms for using images we provide:

Terms of Usage:

• All images (transparencies, photographs, or other) remain the property of the University of Michigan.
• The University of Michigan Exhibit Museum of Natural History must be credited in all uses of photographic and video images.
• Proofs must be reviewed prior to actual use by Dan Erickson.
• Fees apply to one-time use only. 
• Recognized news agencies requiring images to publicize the Museum or for public service are exempt from fees, as long as credit to the Museum is given. 
• Any other secondary use of the image, such as a non-related publication, must be approved by the University of Michigan Exhibit Museum of Natural History.  Usage of images beyond those stated are subject to additional fees.  Contact Dan Erickson.
• Recipient agrees to pay a holding fee of $10.00 per week per transparency if held longer than 60 days without permission.
• Transparencies / negatives / prints are to be returned undamaged and with shipping prepaid.
• Payment shall be made within 30 days of receipt of invoice.  A service charge of 5% per month will be added to any amount unpaid after 30 days.

Payment Options: 

• Credit cards are accepted (Visa and Mastercard)
• All checks must be in U.S. funds from a U.S. bank, payable to Exhibit Museum of Natural History.
