LATE APPLICANTS TO NELP 2012:
This year, any students who want to apply for NELP 2012 and who missed the original deadline can submit their application materials to be considered in a second round of admissions. Successful second-round applicants will be added to the waitlist for NELP 2012; each year at least a few of our original forty acceptees need to withdraw from the program at some point between January and April, and we always end up turning to the waitlist to fill those spots. There's a good chance that applying in this second round could get you one of those spots.
To apply, simply bring your application materials in to Aric Knuth at 4172 Angell Hall--just slide them under his office door if he's not in--and send Aric an email at aknuth@umich.edu. You'll arrange a time for a 20-minute interview when you submit your application materials--either with Aric in person or via email. And N.B. that while the deadline for this year's two special scholarships for program fee waivers has passed (and late applicants should disregard that section of the NELP Application) all students accepted into NELP will have an opportunity to apply later for smaller NELP Aid awards, which are announced in April.
Questions? Feel free to contact NELP's Director, Aric Knuth, at aknuth@umich.edu.
