Mary Kelley, Ruth Bordin Collegiate Professor of History, American Culture, and Women's Studies at the University of Michigan, discussed networks of radical abolitionism in Antebellum America -- focusing on the role of African American women -- in her October 30 lecture for the Eisenberg Institute for Historical Studies. Her talk, "'Talents Committed to Your Care': Reading and Writing Radical Abolitionism in Antebellum America." continued the Institute's 2013-15 theme, "Materials of History."
