Eisenberg Institute for Historical Studies <br> Friday Series <br> Graduate Student Workshop
In this workshop, panelists will consider where and how scholars can locate longings for different futures in the historical record. What relationship do these longings have to the present? How do they function as evidence of a desire for transformation (i.e., reorganization) of the here and now? Panelists will discuss the utility of the conventional language of the affective turn, including its possibilities and obfuscations, as well as the transcultural contexts of "longing," "affect," and "future," especially those that present us with differing belief systems. Panelists include:
