Dr. Chakrabarty obtained his doctorate with U-M EEB in 2006. In addition to being a
NSF Program Director, he is Associate Professor and Curator of Fishes at Louisiana State University's Museum of Natural Science, the author of a well-received book on academia, and a TED Fellow.
