Co-Founder and Co-CEO
Donald Sweeney manages the daily operations of Emerging Solutions (a software consulting firm) as a subsidiary of Emtec, Inc., a publicly traded IT Consulting firm.
Upon graduation, Sweeney joined Andersen Consulting (Accenture) where, based on his economics background, he was quickly placed into their financial applications group. He worked on several strategic accounts such as McDonnell Douglas, Ohio State University, and the State of New York. In 1996 he joined the professional services group of the software company PeopleSoft, working on clients like UtiliCorp (Kansas City Utility), Underwriter’s Laboratories, TransUnion, and AON.
At the age of 25, he started his own firm, Emerging Solutions, where he provided the same technology consulting that he had at Accenture and PeopleSoft, but to the mid-market and with a high degree of customer-centric consulting. Now Emerging Solutions is a wholly owned subsidiary of Emtec, Inc. and continues to provide business process consulting aligned with technology.
Sweeney has spoken at the University of Michigan Venture Capital Symposium and at Regional and National PeopleSoft conferences.
