The Digital Studies Program, established in 2014, is a collaboration between the departments of American Culture, Communication, Engineering, EnglishGerman Studies, History, Screen Arts and Cultures, the School of Information, and the Stamps School of Art and Design.

Digital Studies allows students to engage in topics such as video games and identity, digital culture, the role of computer code in everyday life, and the use of social media as a form of personal and cultural expression.  These courses offer humanistic, creative, and social scientific approaches to the study of all things digital. Digital Studies offers students the methods and tools for studying, analyzing, and critically reflecting upon their everyday engagements with electronic forms of community and culture.”
