Since its launch in 2000, the Center for World Performance Studies (CWPS) has supported the research efforts of 45 graduate students and sponsored more than 30 international artists from countries across the globe including Africa, Chile, China, Costa Rica, Iran, Japan, and Russia.

Donations to the University of Michigan Center for World Performance Studies (CWPS) are essential to our operations. Your gift will provide opportunities for U-M students to attend classes and seminars, conduct research abroad, and plan a culminating public performance with fellow class members.

Gifts may be made in a variety of ways and are deductible as allowed by law. CWPS accepts cash, checks, or credit cards; matching gifts (please include the appropriate paperwork from the matching agency with your gift); and securities (stock gifts).

If you are interested in making a planned gift to CWPS, please contact our center at 734.936.2777 or CWPS.information@umich.edu

The World Needs Victors

The Center for World Performance Studies (CWPS) promotes the scholarly study of music, dance, and theater and, by extension, all forms of expressive arts across the globe through interdisciplinary and engaged dialogues between scholars, students, and performance specialists. It raises the awareness of and advocates for the greater inclusion of underrepresented cultures within the academy.

Your tax-deductible donations to the Center for World Performance Studies supports the University’s commitment to globalization and diversity in the twenty-first century by supporting student and faculty fellowships, initiatives, research, and international collaboration with the purpose of increasing knowledge of performing arts around the globe.

For more information on the various ways you can support CWPS, please contact our center at (734) 936-2777 or CWPS.Information@umich.edu.
