The Women in Science and Engineering Program is sponsoring the “SmartGirl Studios Videogame Workshop” in honor of Introduce A Girl to Engineering Day.

We are seeking students in grades 6-9 to participate in our workshop!

At this workshop, U-M undergraduates with programming experience will help participants design and develop their own videogames on a variety of themes. Participants will create a Game Design Document and then use GameMaker8 programming software to bring their concepts to reality. Participants will also receive a small tour of the campus, including a trip to the Videogame Archive. The workshop concludes with a presentation ceremony, which parents are invited to attend.

This free, one-day workshop will be held on North Campus at the University of Michigan:
