Parenting in the Academy

Tuesday, February 8, 2011
12:00 AM
Rackham Assembly Hall, 4th Floor
915 E. Washington Street

Having a successful academic career requires years of intensive work and concentrated focus. Graduate students interested in raising a family often have questions about how faculty members, graduate students and post docs manage to be successful both at work and at home. Come hear a panel of faculty, post docs and graduate students in engineering and the science fields talk about their experiences of having children at various stages of their careers: in graduate school, pre-tenure and post-tenure. Lunch will be served.

Registration required at: http://www.rackham.umich.edu/calendar/events/688/

Co-sponsored by the Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) Program, Rackham Graduate School, The Career Center, and the Center for the Education of Women (CEW).
