Cognitive Science Graduate Certificate Program

Cognitive Science is a fast-growing area of study that integrates explanations of mind, brain, and behavior from disciplines such as psychology, philosophy, linguistics, neuroscience, computer science, and linguistics. 

In order to apply to the Cognitive Science Graduate Certificate Program, the Weinberg Institute for Cognitive Science will need you to complete the steps below. Email the Academic Program Specialist, Rachel Miller, your completed application materials.

1. Letter of Intent

Provide a 1-4 paragraph statement explaining your interests in cognitive science, and how a graduate certificate in cognitive science aligns with your career and academic goals.

2. Official University of Michigan transcripts

In order to be eligible for the graduate certificate, you must have at least one semester completed at the University of Michigan.

3. Rackham Add a Degree or Certificate Application

Complete the Rackham "Add a Degree or Certificate Application."

4. Completed form from one faculty sponsor

Have your faculty sponsor complete the Google Form below.

5. Application deadline

All application materials must be received by October 15th for admission to the following winter term, and by February 15th for admission to the following fall term.
