This section of the Web Services site includes the training manual for Google Analytics, which includes information on core concepts, using dashboards and using reports. For each of these sections we've created video tutorials, also included on this page.
If you have questions about how to use your dashboard or how to create new reports after walking through the manual and the video tutorials below, please schedule an Open Lab session. When filling in the sign up form, please add GA after your name, so we can assign the appropriate team member to assist you.
Google Analytics Dashboards
Each new AEM site comes with its own Google Analytics account. You should have received an email with a personalized link to your department's Google Analytics Dashboard.
We partnered with The Understanding Group (TUG) to restructure department website Google Analytics. After meeting with many individuals at the department and college levels it we have created a Google Analytics Dashboard that consists of widgets that track multiple areas of your site. Depending on your department's website some of these widgets may not be displayed in your personalized dashboard.
The first and most important step is to import your dashboard.
- Click the link in the email (you may be prompted to log-in using your uniqname and kerberos password)
- Select your Department Name in the view drop down
This will give you access to your new Google Analytics account and dashboard. Additional users can be given access by submitting a ticket with the uniqunames that need access.
