Explore the mysterious lives of owls in this hands-on demonstration. Together we will learn about the unique adaptations owls have to make them fierce predators. How do they see so well? How do they fly so silently? Find out what an owl pellet is (Hint: it’s not poop!) and then dissect a real owl pellet as we discuss how scientists study these elusive birds.
Hands-on demonstrations are 20-30 minute free interactive programs on the 2nd floor of the Museum. They include both brief presentations highlighting University research and engaging hands-on activities, and are suitable for adults and children ages 5 and up.
