Sweetland Center for Writing's five Peer Tutoring centers and online writing labs SyncOWL and OWL open their doors on Sunday, January 27th. For a complete list of locations, hours, and more information see the Peer Tutoring page on our website.

Peer Tutors offer free one-to-one consultations to all UM undergraduates in G219 Angell Hall and several satellite locations including North Campus on a walk-in basis. Peer tutors are upper-level undergraduates who have been trained to collaborate with writers of all skill levels working at any stage of the writing process via Sweetland's Peer Tutor Program.

SyncOWL is a real-time, online, video-chat tutoring service for all UM undergraduates at all stages of the writing process. If you need help with your writing during our regular business hours but can’t make it into one of our face-to-face tutoring centers, try talking to a SyncOWL tutor in a live chat. The first step is to go to Sweetland SyncOwl Google Plus and add “Gayle Morris” to your Google+ circles.

Online Writing Lab (OWL) is a slower, web-based service for undergraduates that is also staffed by Sweetland peer tutors. Tutors review writing submitted online and provide feedback to writers within roughly 72 hours of submission.

More information about OWL and SyncOwl is available here.
