The Resident Advisors, Programming Board, Peer Facilitators and Advisory Council all share responsibility for keeping the SLE community engaged, inclusive and successful. Peer leadership is a core component of the Sustainable Living Experience community. As a program, we provide opportunities for students to develop their leadership skills so that they may be better prepared to take on active roles elsewhere on campus and in their communities beyond graduation.
Your Resident Advisor (RA) lives in West Seeley Hall (WS) and is a live-in resource to you. The two SLE RAs will be working to create an environment that is welcoming and inclusive for everyone. They serve as a resource for any residential, academic, SLE, and overall life questions that arise. They strive to cultivate a SLE community and ensure a memorable living-learning experience in the Sustainable Living Experience theme community.
Peer facilitation is a core component of the Sustainable Living Experience theme community. Peer Facilitators are students who have lived with SLE in the past, or engaged in other campus sustainability efforts, and are continuing to engage with SLE as mentors. They will facilitate group dialogues on issues such as environmental justice, coordinate trips to Campus Farm and sustainability pilot projects, and more!
SLE Board members are students living at Oxford Houses. Students in this leadership role help brainstorm and plan SLE programming and events, including the annual Sustainability symposium. To join the SLE Board, contact Hollie Kicinski at firstname.lastname@example.org.
