It has been announced that Nell Compernolle has been awarded the 2013 Marshall Weinberg Population, Development, and Climate Change Fellowship.  Administered jointly by the UM School of Natural Resources and Environment and the Population Studies Center, the fellowships provides funding support for students who are considering, or already engaged in, research at the intersection of climate change, demography, and development.

For Nell's fellowship, she will be conducting research in Nepal, focusing on how international migration and subsequent changes in family dynamics affect local resources.

Congratulations Nell!
